I have a 2011 335d and the external outlet plug is under the dashboard, passenger side, just above the
left knee.

I have a 335d and every 6 weeks I drive it from Minnesota to Michigan a 525 mile trip and it makes it every time on one tank with fuel to spare. The past 6 months the diesel in Michigan’s upper peninsula has only been about .15 more than gas. There are very few spots the speed limits on this route are 65 or 70 mph thus I keep it at 60-65 most of the trip and I have been averaging 39 mpg.

20k on the odometer and smooth sailing so far only problem is BMW’s lack of an external outlet to plug in my GPS and the stupid MPG gauge that says I’m getting 60 mpg sitting at a stoplight.

Agree. This is my next car, I decided that. Giving up my 335i :( but looking forward to drive the diesel.Plus, I really wanna do a full review of owning the diesel. I expect every month to post my impressions
