Out of nowhere, here comes the first official photos of the MINI Countryman. Last week, MINI debuted the Beachcomber Concept at the Detroit Auto Show, followed yesterday by the teaser video with the psychedelic camouflage.

And now, three lower quality photos leaked on the internet. As expected, the MINI Countryman features many design elements from the Beachcomber, starting with the front-end and large headlamps. The Countryman gets the missing-doors from the concept and a black painted roof top.

Judging by the photos, the Countryman seems to be getting the full MINI naming convention, in this case, MINI Cooper S Countryman.

The side of the car features the “ALL4” badge, describing the four doors, an optional four-wheel drive, four single seats and the first MINI to exceed four meters in length.

Stay tuned, full photos gallery cannot be far away.

  1. I bet that the standard Cooper (more chrome less black) will look even better, but this is simply awesome!

    Looks pretty good

This Mini isn’t so mini anymore, but quite a looker. I love the fact that it doesn’t look like anything else on the road (except the other minis – a little).

  4. Bert says:

I really wanted to hate this car because it just isn’t a Mini. I thought it would look like a retarded, bloated Cooper, but much to my surprise, it looks fantastic. I love it!

  5. Humberto says:

The front end is a much weaker execution than the Crossover Concept. It could be confused with any number of Asian marques. The Concept’s styling was so strong… like so many production versions, this is watered down by comparison.
