It's really too bad, but I don't think BMW is going to send this 5Touring to the USA. Which is a shame, this with 4WD puts the 5GT to shame, and looks much better as well.

Will it come to the states? I love the GT and have been driving my mothers new X5 diesel for the last week (record snow in phila) and love that too, but neither compare to my wifes 535xiT with manual trans. Been told that the GT might mean the end of the US wagon. Didn't want to spend what I did on the 5, but since they were the only company with the guts to import a wagon like this with a manual trans, I had to! Don't feel so compelled to buy another without the manual (maybe with the diesel), and also want the better utility and vison of the wagon.

In this shot this new 5 series really looks like the direct sucessor of the E39 5 series.
