We need a better rendering of the 6 series. By the looks of these "spy" photos, the headlights really will be more similar to the CS than the current rendering. It looks like there is one light behind the other, like the CS, instead of being side-by-side. Also, they seem to be using the CS as the base for a lot of their design cues, but the Vision Concept seemed to generate a lot more excitement than the CS.

The video has been taken close to the BMW "Forschung- and Innovation Zentrum" (= FIZ = Headquarter of development and innovation.). So, no wonder that you can see other camouflaged cars in the backround.

And the reason to take the cars through a car wash is not that special. Its winter in Germany, and there s a lot of salt on the street to avoid ice and snow. that crap is awful on cars - especially if you want to check different things underneith the car. A buddy of mine worked for BMW, and it was a MUST for them to bring cars back to the plant washed. not allowed to park them dirty. btw - thats the exit of the carwash of BMWs contract petrol station - also right in front of the FIZ.

I used to live in that area of Munich for years - my experience is, that BMW dont take the camouflage off the cars even after official press release. I m sure that there are more than 50 of the new F10 driving around - to take the camouflage off is just a waste of time and money right now. I think they will drive around like this till jan. or feb. - and to be hones, something that is secret is even more interessting - isnt it? ;-)

I wonder why BMW made a 6 series. Why not name it the 5 Coupe and Convertible like how the 3 series has a sedan, coupe and convertible. Other wise just name the 3 coupe and convertible the 4 series

I'm curious as to why they'd be going through a carwash.. unless it's to check the weather seals.

Just seems a bit funny to me.

Anyway let my new obsession begin - I love the 6s :)

funny thing is that about 1:20 into the video as he turns into the highway, he drives next to a what looks like a new 5 series in the traditional swirly disguise...(check it out on the right side of the 6er..)
