As BMW announced many times before, the highly wanted Z4 M model will not make it into production. Somewhat as a consolation and also to enhance the look of current E89 Z4, BMW is testing an aggressive M-Package which is due in 2010.
First spy photos of the Z4 M Sport Package surfaced back in September when several test mules were seen near Nurburgring. The M Sport Package will include the typical exterior and interior upgrades. On the outside, the already aggressive look will be enhanced with the addition of M front and rear-end bumpers. As seen in these photos, we expect to see an exclusive choice of wheels and new exterior colors.
The interior will also feature M branded design elements, as seen in the other M Sport Package: door sills, M steering wheel, foot rest and gear lever.
It is unclear if BMW will offer any performance upgrades, but we already know that the 3.0 liter twin-turbo engine is capable of producing more power.
Expect to see BMW Z4 M Sport Package in the second half of 2010.

Wow. This car is going to be outrageous with an M package. It already looks aggressive and now they’re going to add to it! Awesome!
Of course there will be an m z4. but it will be interduced in the makeover version in about 3 or 4 years. But a m sport s driver35 sprots pack will do nicely for now. a fixed carbon roof mz4 with 4.0 v8 and dsg thats what im talking about. a baby sl black. has everyone seen the the old m z4 race car. and remember what they said about ther not being a m version.
I agree. I was going to comment that I pretty specifically remember BMW AG pulling the same stunt with the old Z4, saying there would be no full M model, then popping one out a few years later.
i think there will fore surely be a z4 m in the future.
its stupid to have m versions of suv models and not of an roadster…
every z model had m version..i hope time will help them to understand the logic..sport car must have m version…
This car with the current high revving M3 V8! Please BMW build this car! Think about some of your base, hardcore, fans. Not only for the rich people in Eastern Europe and The Middle East.
It better add some more power.
