You obviously don’t get the concept of Efficient Dynamics. If you put a 6.0 L in it, it’s not very efficient. Besides, the power numbers being thrown around combined with its weight makes this a “super sports car” already, with just the 1.5 L.

One has to remember this is an AutoExpress photoshop and not what the final car will look like. However, the idea of a supercar that is a showcase of BMW technology and supergreen as well… that’s exciting stuff. Build it, quick, before the higher ups change their minds again.
I had some ideas of an aerodynamic management system just like the Air Curtain System you’ve described, but never had the resources to follow up on it. I should have at least patented it, but, oh well. I’ll just have to be content with the fact that my favorite car company will bring it to market, and that I’m not as big a dumbass that my wife sometimes thinks I am!

Mean Green Driving Machine.

I am blown away by the VED concept and word of a production supercar really excites me. Only one amendment: I would ask that BMW use their proven high-output 3.0L Diesel in place of the 1.5. The extra power will truly launch this car into ‘supercar’ territory and still acheive increadible efficiency.

if it will be called m1 i think its best to look exactly like m1 hommage with minor changes..and if they call it like that it must be..
but i think it gonna have different name,like Zx,cause it will be based on this vision concept..great look! but there something special about m1 hommage..i guees its history,uniqueness…one thing about vision its stupid ,those 2 + seats,whats the meaning of that !specially cos there ll not be room at all…
and supercar is not about hybrid..its about power..for the present time…
iin 2050 bmw can make all electric speed master,or hydrogen….but now its about gas..

The two designs have a lot in common (M1 homage + vision). Surely whatever the M1 will have been evolved from those design elements, so it’s arbitrary to say that it will be based on the m1 or the vision.

The design depicted above doesn’t seem realistic, because the elements are taken ad hoc and don’t fit well. it’s got the nose of the vision/m1 and the body of a nissan coupe.
