It was just a matter of time until someone would be courageous enough to draw some renderings of the recently unveiled BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept. By courageous, we mean a rendering artist that can somewhat match the already gorgeous concept design.
Tough task, we know!
Our friends over at Promotor and Andrei Avarvarii, the rendering artist helping us with the “Be A Designer Project”, decided to draw a future BMW supercar that would take on the Audi R8 and Mercedes SLS. Using a fictitious name, BMW M10, the rendering is solely based on the Vision Concept, but with some much needed changes for a production car.
The stunning glass side doors have been replaced by regular suicide doors since industry regulations are very strict when it comes to passengers’ safety. Some subtle changes took place at the front and rear-end.
The wheels have also been replaced with a more aggressive model, and the exterior paint colors suffered some modifications as well.(We still like the original blue/red/white colors better).
BMW has never confirmed future plans to build a new supercar, but there are some indications that a high-end sportscar will follow in the future. At the same time, it is unlikely that a replica of the Vision Concept would make it into production, due to the same passenger/pedestrian regulations we’re been hearing about, but the technology powering the concept is ready for prime time.
So, how does these renderings look? Thumbs up?

Nicely cleaned up flight of fancy. It’s highly unlikely that any production vehicle will look like this, but it’s nice to dream.
I think the rendering looks fantastic. I especially like that the rear end still has the same tail-light concept. While I imagine there will have to be more changes, I would be thrilled to see BMW introduce a supercar. We’ve been starved for a BMW supercar for far too long!
Hot. Even better than the real thing.
Nice job! Looks perfectly plausable to me.
Yes please. BMW need this car and they need the Z2 to be a mini-VED.
