I purchased my 2011 X3 Xdrive28i and is exceptional. I have the 3l engine normal aspiration. I got 7l/100km on hwy.
It uses premium gas but it uses less.
The Brake Regeneration is amazing it is a hybrid part that charges the battery when you come to a stop.
Interior and body is also great+++

Worried about my carbon footprint and fuel costs I was initially excited to see the new X1 until my recent trip to Germany where I got to sit inside one; way too small for most Americans over 5'10'' & a cheesy cheap interior.

When will BMW figure out that most Americans want it all,,space, luxury, and good fuel economy? The X3 could actually be the perfect SUV, it's fantastic, size & luxury it has in spades. Hello, BMW,,,how about letting Americans have the same chance you're already giving your own countrymen? Diesel should be an option in 2011! Dr. Max

It will be really hard to compete against audi Q5, it's a very good looking suv and the actual X3 is too much conservative, old and ugly to even think to compete with it :)

"As seen with the X1 we are not offering the latest Turbo charged Six Cylinder this will be featured in the X3 because of it’s more unique positioning."

so the answer to your question...is yes it most likely will be offered stateside with the N54 engine
