As far as I know, they can keep it as patent by 20 years. If they were, they would be only concern that provide cars with instant response on push acceleration pedal for a long time. I dont see how this setup is fixing the lag though, having more evenly distributed pulses no doubt enhance the turbo perfromance, but how does it fix the lag?
