So, remind me again why the hybrid concept is more advantageous than the diesel? I mean, I want to be supportive of the Efficient Dynamics concept, but at the same time the diesels offer near-zero emissions, are a proven technology (not that new technologies have ever been problematic for even our esteemed BMW — 2002 7-series…), don’t have huge batteries which will eventually need to be disposed, the fuel is cheaper (both because of the price and because you don’t have to buy premium) and they use less of it. From my point of view, this seems like a waste of time and resources to keep up with an inferior technology that’s in use by most other manufacturers.

I’m not trying to be argumentative; I’m genuinely interested in what you all think.
