The headlights are taking away from the BMW look.
It lookz like any other new concept not the BMW look.

WOW, WOW, WOW
the only rendaring of a car i love to date!
It is stunning….and for being futuristic….look at the R8,
I remember watching will smiths movie “I robot” and it featured the R8 concept,
looked even more futuristic than this…..and audi pulled through.
This car is crazy sexy! sure it has some Austin Martin in it (side) but it still screams BMW. My mum has a 6-series now and if the car above where ever to see the light of day and be priced as a 6-series replacement let me asure you it will sell very very well! But…….as always this is only a dream……..

People that say that this is inspired by One 77 don’t know what they are talking about. One 77 is one ugly car inspired by Dodge Viper, but uglyer. The lateral vents are total reap off from Viper. This has the side view a little bit like Alfa 8C but prettyer. I like the car. It’s time for BMW to build something else than boxes on wheels

I love this, of course some more core BMW styling elements could be included, because it reminds a lot of Fisker and other sleek looking supercars (not that it’s a bad thing). But just to bring out a bit more “BMW” in it. The idea of a BMW supercar is still pant-wettingly arousing for me. It’s one area of the field they still lack a player and could get a big bite of the of so delicious pie which is supercar territory. I know BMW follows the forums and news sites and I hope they notice the emotions that stir when cars like these are mentioned. Like when the CS Concept and M1 Hommage were revealed

Please, BMW give green light to a Supersport model , BMW fans wants tho have a super car and it will sale fantastic, if it has a fantastic design like this or better and and a ansam motor that BMW put on the McLaren F1.

I should have specified – I was refering to the comments on Autoblog, not the BMW croud. From the ‘outside’, the CS received pretty harsh crits and the Z4 even more.

Fans are critical because they like BMW and want it to always look good at least in their perspective. I haven’t heard anyone saying anything bad about the CS concept, even the new Z4 is well received (at least design wise), however that doesn’t mean whatever BMW come with we have to accept it, and during the Bangle era BMW didn’t us something that we could get excited about right away.
And let me tell you, it’s not only BMW fans who are complaining about BMW design, it’s most media , shows ..etc, take Top Gear for example and tell me when was the last time they said a new BMW looks beautiful?

me personally I still cant stand the E65 and the E63 and the face of the new 7er. But I’m hoping the new styling is bringing back the magic, at least design wise (on the tech side and the drivability it’s another sad story)

You’re right. I feel frustrated by this attitude from “car fans”. Once upon a time, all cars were beautifull and well received, but something changed, and I don’t know what it is. Nobody is satisfied anymore. Everybody has their own ideas of what a car should look like, and those ideas are not the ones done by the motor industries. So, every new concept gets smashed to pieces.

I promise you, nobody sets out to design an ugly looking car. Even us d.i.y. designers try to create something that is breathtakingly beautifull. Funny thing is, the people close to me loves my work and it is them that pushed me to show it on the internet. But the only thing ppl saw was an ugly BMW and poor Bangle got the blame for it – again. (Nobody reads the articles.)

So, in conclusion, car lovers all over the world are depriving themselves of joy because of this unexplained attitude towards anything new… Sad!

Ya I agree. Merc and Audi both have a somewhat “exotic” product in their line but BMW has nothing like that right now :(
