According to the fellows at Carscoop, BMW will celebrate the tenth anniversary of their first Sports Activity Vehicle, X5, with a Limited Edition Model. We are running this story as a rumor since we weren’t able to confirm it with any of our sources or even BMW folks and this could be a model only available for the European market, but since we like to share it all with you, we decided to give it the go ahead.
So, the rumor says that the BMW X5 Limited Edition model production will run up to 500 units and it will be sold under the name “X5 Edition 10″. To go even deeper into this rumor, apparently the buyers will have the option to equip these models with any of the six-cylinder and V8 engines currently offered by BMW(we’re assuming the X5 engines currently available).
To distinguish themselves from the “regular” model, the X5 Edition 10 will feature a unique gray metallic exterior paint along with a custom trim and upholstery options. The SAV will sit on special designed 20-inch alloy wheels. As expected, the anniversary badges will be featured in and out of the car.
Not the actual car
So, that’s all we have for now, but we’re running the story by our BMW sources and we’ll let you know when and if we get confirmation.
