Horatiu has been providing a lot of coverage of the X5 xDrive35d and how well it is performing on the drive from Chicago down to Spartanburg.
However, in addition, to providing a platform to for testing out BMW’s fantastic new diesel SAV, it’s also provided transportation all the way down to the BMW Mecca of the United States: The BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
What are we doing at the Performance Center? Well, we’re attending the one-day BMW M Driving Shool tomorrow. While we’re not 100% sure yet which M cars we’ll be driving, we do have the itinerary of what skills we’ll be working on:

- Handling
- Autocross
- Accident Avoidance
- Braking, with and without ABS
- Control under panic situations
As you can imagine, we’re very excited and look forward to bringing you as close to the action as we can. We’re going to be covering the day via Twitter and during our breaks, we will try to post as much on the blog as possible, complete with pictures and video. We’re glad to have everyone follow us and look forward to showing you all the M School has to offer Bimmer fans! We snapped a few pictures tonight as a preview of things to come, enjoy!

fantastc!! ill be attending in august!
Wonderful. I did the 1 day M School a month ago (came with my E90 M3) and I had a blast. You should be driving the M3, M5 & M6. The instructors are top notch. Don’t miss the joy rides with them at the end. Have fun and takes lots of photos.
Yes, it was a blast!!! Highly recommend it and these instructors ROCK!! The way they drive these cars….simply amazing
i just took the 2 day teen performance driving school and it was incredible! I’m sure the M school will be absolutely astounding, keeping in mind they have well over 20 M3’s about 10+ M5’s and 6 M6’s.
it was an incredible day! We’re working to get the videos uploaded to youtube and getting a piece written about it as soon as possible.
@Jon H: It will be well worth it! The amount of lessons and hands-on driving they pack into one day makes the course an incredible bang-for-the-buck.
