We have to admit, we’re a bit amazed that the famous TopGear host, Jeremy Clarkson has actually given thumbs up to the new 2009 BMW Z4. For those of you that might not know, Mr. Clarkson has not been a fan of most of the BMW vehicles for quite some time now and with every new model it’s expected to go through his purgatory and most likely receive a passing grade at best.
But this time, in our opinion, there were not many negative elements that could be found about the new Z4, a state of art roadster, both interior wise and also exterior.
We know that not many of you have been his fans anymore for quite some time now, and we agree that he’s mostly an entertainer these days, but he has his good moments where his reviews can be objective and informative.

I also liked the styling, the ride — provided you stay out of the sport settings — the engine’s urgency, the fluidity of the responses and the elegance of the interior. Though, that said, this is not a car you can drive in cuff links. Because the centre console is set up for left-hand drive, every time you change gear your silver dog turd, or whatever, will hit the iDrive knob, which in extreme circumstances can cause the cabin to be filled with rap noises.
However, I’ve thought quite hard about this and can confidently say that the Z4, with its folding metal roof and softer feel, is now the best of the medium-sized sports cars. Certainly, I prefer it to the Boxster and the Mercedes SLK.

Jeremy likes the M5 too. If you read his review of the Z4 M Roadster, he liked it as well.
Based on the reviews on that website, there are quite a few Bimmers Jeremy likes. :)

There were some mention of the Z4 in that article. Mr Clarkson apparently got mixed up between journalism and random entertainment. Very strange those english folk.
Clarkson is such an ass that nothing he says, good or bad can be taken seriously.
Clarckson likes BMW M5, M3 e92 and now Z4. Yes, he said that swanks drive Audi, but he had admitted that M3 e92 is masterwork of car engineering, even in time when he had been bilieving that M3 drivers are swanks.

You might be wrong…He absolutely loves the BMW M3 and the M5 except that he doesnt like the M5’s styling..but the M3, he s given it full points
