Well, I guess BMW likes to continue this teasing game and for the past few weeks, they released several teaser photos of the upcoming BMW X1.
It all started with few media publications invited to test drive the X1 in the beautiful Mallorca, Spain, then shortly BMW released a photo gallery of the X1 going off-road and lastly, the first X1 “partial” official photos.
And today, a blurry photo of a white X1 was released and from what we heard, the photoshoot took place in California a few weeks ago.
But what’s even more interesting to us is the fact that BMW chooses to release these teaser photos through their Facebook X1 page which once again shows how well they leverage the new social media tools. In the end, the BMW X1 is targeting a younger, more adventurous crowd and Facebook is definitely the right marketing medium for that.
A week from tomorrow, BMW will officially present the X1 during an event at the Leipzig plant in Germany, but we expect the press release and photos to go out a few days prior to that.

It looks good when blurred but hopefully it will not look as bad as it does lightly disguised.
It looks pretty !
Somehow, this X1 look so much better than the others we’ve been seeing… roof rails, huge chrome rims and silver plate at the bottom of bumper…… There’s light at the end of the tunnel!
I like the way the deliberately smudge the X1!
I’m not sure how effective these teasers are becoming! I agree with Lariv – hopefully it is better when they show it in its full glory, or even better when I see it in real life.
There’s a car in that picture?
