BMW dealerships may be investing $300 million in modernizing service facilities but were they to invest a fraction of that sum in their Web sites they might be able to walk before they leap and benefit far more from the online world. While I agree that it would be smart for BMW dealerships to embrace social tools such as Facebook, a quick look at almost all BMW dealership Web sites reveals that their online presences are collectively stuck somewhere between 1997 and 2001.
