The pictures with the mountains were taken right down the road from my house?! How the hell could I not have seen these things there? Those crafty, stealthy Germans

This is one of the nicest looking cars I have seen from BMW (my favorite is, and will remain for a while, the Z4 coupe which never made the big time here in the US). It remains to be seen how it drives, but given that it is a BMW I will go and test drive it. Of course this assumes that it is priced reasonably which is not likely given the European pricing that has been mooted. It should priced between the X6 and 5 series, however I suspect they will price it as a 7 series alternative for the practical people. In that case it will fail miserably in the US. The US market does not like estate cars (or wagons) and hatch backs have failed miserably. The US seems to prefer the two box suv or the 4 door sedan. However Europe will probably go for it, although the pricing has caused a major sharp intake of breath and the market will be limited to those with real money.
