The same week as the auto show, BMW Sauber Formula 1 team was present in China for the annual scheduled Grand Prix and Nick Heidfeld was invited to participate at the X5 M launch event.

Just a month later, BMW released new footage of the X5 M being driven by Nick Heidfeld who also takes the time to talk about the car.

The engine uses the twin-scroll twin turbo technology with High Precision Direct Injection. BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M run from 0-60 mph in ONLY 4.5 seconds, making the M twins the fastest SUV/SAVs out there.

Sounds like a 4cylinder turbo engine.

  2. Carlos Perez says:

The wheels still suck, why could the put ones similar to the ones in the M5 or the M3 those are gorgeous.

  3. Giom says:

I like the humility there by Nick when he says: “I feel lucky to be part of it and get to drive the M cars.”

@L1ndja: I don’t know any ear specialists in your area, but I do recomend one.

  4. Bobo says:

I would recommend L1ndja a visit to an ear specialist too!

  5. Gord says:

Why do I get the feeling the X5 M will be Heidfeld’s new car ? ;)
