The BMW M3 GT4, the youngest addition to the Customer Racing product range offered by the BMW Motorsport Distribution division, will line up at the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife on 23rd/24th May 2009.
But prior to this, the M3 GT4 together with the amazingly good looking Alpina B6 GT3 race car, made their appearance at the FIA GT meeting this past weekend at the famous Silverstone race track in the U.K.
Thanks to one of our long-time and loyal readers, Matt S., we bring you some breathtaking photos of these cars, along with some others of course…..ooops, including the Audi R8 – yes, despite being huge BMW fans, we still love the R8.
Since the point of this article is to simply let you drool over enjoy these photos, we’ll skip all the technical chit-chat for now and invite you to scan through the photo gallery below.
Please do not repost these images without Matt’s and our permission as well.

These are great images… Thanks!!
Where can I find lists of the classes and the cars competing within those. During a race it’s impossible to try and make out who’s racing who if you don’t know whats going on.
It’s a shame the results for the B6 weren’t better, the blue and white machines were not on the pace in the first race and had bad luck and were out of contention by lap 2 of the second race. The Alpina livered machine faired slightly better, poor start positions meant wins would have been very difficult, but in both races it managed to work its way from the back-end of the grid to the front-end, which means it does has a useful turn of speed. Both races were won by Morgan, which if I recall correctley are BMW powered
The M3 GT4’s looked pretty racey, pretty much on the pace and with a shot at the win in Sundays race, at least one of them was – the other was wiped out going over the start line!
Fair play to Audi, Team Rosberg were flying in the first race, a probably 1-2 on their debut, but both cars suffered technical failures.
@Matski: Thanks for the info!

Hey Matski, thanks for the pics dude.
I was there at the weekend too but unfortunatly did not manage to get any other pics than a few on my poor phone.
Like you say a good showing from the Green Alpina machine but unfortunate from the other B6s.
Thanks again for the quality images.
Great pics. Is that an MC12 hiding behind that Corvette?
@X5 SoB: Yeah, thy’re pretty quick.. IIRC the mazer got a better run out of the corner and was making a move up the inside into the next corner.
