The MINI coupe and roadster are pure genius! The symmetry of these cars reminds me of the beauty of the BMW E46 3 series body design. I can't believe it! I never thought I would see such cute cars. So much better looking than the BMW 1 series and possibly the Audi roadster. The MINI speedster is taking it too far, though. It looks too wide for the MINI "look." I can maybe see how the MINI roadster could be refined to look more like a Porche 365 speedster.

I'll be the first one on my block to have a Speedster...especially if it comes in the Hot Orange color like on the picture! Love my Mini Convertible but it's going to be turning 6 soon...by 2012 (my dealer indicated the Speedster won't be available until then) I'll be looking to trade up!

[...] The MINI Speedster is based off the R57 MINI Convertible platform with a wider track and it is more of a classic convertible rather than the typical MINI open-top. A memo within the company states that the MINI Speedster car body will be built by another outside contractor, but definitely not the Austrian company Magna who will be producing the MINI CrossOver.
Yeah, it does overlap with the Z2. I never liked the boxy design of the mini, so this is cool to me, but many do, and that may erode the mini's identity for them.

Love those X6 wheels. Hmm--- what about a Mini SUV?
