Another week and more photos of the 2011 BMW 5 Series have popped out on the web again. The folks at WCF got their hands on the latest spy photos of a touring test mule sporting that now famous psychedelic camouflage.

If the previous photos are quite similar, what got us more excited this time are the new white corona-rings headlights available on the new 5er. These type of headlights are also referenced by some BMW fans as White Angel Eyes.

BMWs glow corona rings no longer illuminate relatively weak, but their latest technology provide higher luminosity. The new BMW 5 Series GT uses similar headlights and it is expected to see the corona-rings across the BMW line-up.

The 2011 5 Series test mules are still in the Final Evaluation Phase (FEP) Stage 1, but as soon as they enter Stage 3, we should be seeing them with less camouflage, expect this to happen this summer.

    Interesting….note the dual exhaust pipes. I’m led to believe this is a 550 wagon.

    @BMW sales: Well this could also be a 535i.

    I’m no photo shop expert, but it looks like someone who is can provide us with a real good rendering as all of the body lines are clearly visible.

    Watching the photos I can tell something IMHO:

    1) Head lights look like the ones on 3er coupè (or maybe the facelifted 3er sedan with LED turning lights);

    2) Kidneys are very similar to the one on the 3er coupè but they’re narrower;

    3) Rear lights have the orizontal chrome line separating one half from the other, like on the latest X6 or X5

    It’s impossible to understand how the car will look like, we’ve seen so far with Z4, X6, impossibile to understand…

    I’m glad they didn’t kill the wagon after all.
