Way to go Geely!

Even as a genuine Rolls Royce owner, I fail to see why a car should be priced at � 100-200-300-500K thousand euros or more … its not a house for God’s sake!

So my hat off to the Chinese that make a look alike and at a very very affordable price and displace the ever pompous German by now make.

As for the crap many pose regarding copies and look alikes and etc I can simply say that the grill of the RR is fashioned after the Parthenon and the statue used also after the original Greek one… as so many buildings are all over the world for example…

There is no other architecture style more widely used or copied than this ancient Greek one yet I never hear any say a thing about all that being copied… so lets get real, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander!

I agree, I believe they have to start somewhere and in 10 years, we’ll look at chinese cars differently. But for now, they could at least make it less obvious when copying a design. I also heard that chinese automakers could care less about the copyright laws since they are mostly sold in China and no one can touch them. Probably why BMW lost against the X5 clone

LOL, it is amazing how much effort they put into copying something else. Is it so hard to design something good looking and original? Besides, something is lacking with the new Geely, it looks like an old luxury car from the 1980’s, like thsoe old Roll Royces.

Nice try though, but BMW should stop wasting time to go to court, because that thing is nothing like the new era Rolls Royce:)

But I must add that China is starting to produce cars and they have to start somewhere. The best is to learn from the bottom. Judging from the work ethics and the recent education levels and development in that country, it should not be long before they develop something on par with the likes of BMW, Lexus and Merc. Bear in mind that they (the country) have a wealth of resources at a reaonably cheap price, which cannot be beneficial to manufacturers like BMW, because their management team has decided that their company will only manufacture parts from Germany as they are a German brand. i.e. not being able to take advantage of cheaper raw material without compromising on quality -something to think about if they are still on strategy ONE.

Throne is the only thing that is interesting in this car. All other parts – clone of RR.
I regret that BMW lost an action once in similar case when it complained against X5 clone
