well the next M5 is gonna be a V8 aswell..and it will wipe off the smile on CTS-V fans..M5 is old now but still right there with the Caddi..just imagine what will happen when the 2011 M5 hits the streets..watch out.

But CTS-V got the fastest lap in Nurburgring, Germany in it's class (with automatic gear box). My point is that fully equiped CTS-V is half price than BMW M5. And the performance is just a little bit better.

American cars are always having some qualities problem.....and some were unreliable....

The reason why the BMW's are expensive is that they have rock-solid quality....compared to cadillac...and I prefer the BMW design more of the Cadillac....and it said that the M5 came with 6-speed gearbox??? It should be 7-speed SMG....and talking about weight....of course as you can see that the BMW is heavier than the CTS-V...but it still looks the same though....

So overall....I would choose the BMW...///M5....

The Ultimate Driving Machine.....

Just wait for the 2010 BMW M5....It could flush away the CTS-V!!!

Just read that they tested a 6-speed manual. That explains the quarter mile time.

Oh, and I get 19.5-20.5 mpg at 70-75mph on the highway. Whoever is getting 17 needs to lay off the go-pedal.

I can show you a timeslip from my stock M5 doing a 12.5 quarter. Just as a point of interest versus the CTS' time.

The CTS may have great numbers, but the standard Cadillac front and rear styling, in my opinion, is hideous, and the inside is way too busy. For those that like Cadillacs, and there are a lot out there, the CTS may be a winner, but not for me.

If I'd buy the CTS-V, I'd always look over to the M5 with great envy and wished I had the money to buy that instead.

The review pretty much sums it up.

While the CTS-V is faster, the M5 was more refined and crisp.

The author of that article said the M5 had technique while the CTS-V has brute power.

seriously i dont give a damn, what cadillac is thinking about its self. M5 is a v10, and thats all to it. Nothing to be compared, v8 will never sound as v10, even though v8 is also good, but still.
