I first understood this as “Quandt family “kills” the BMW…. …- Daimler deal” and became very disappointed that BMW will be took up by Daimler. Then I reread this and understood meaning of article right.

Absolutely, I think its Stefan Quandt who is more involved with BMW. He is Deputy Chairman in the Supervisory Board.
