I don't think BMW is risking a lot putting other rivals there. To me, it just shows that BMW is confident in their own products and want customers to see their superiority - which is a very good thing... and indeed they have the best offering. Can you imagine Audi having an event like this putting BMWs there for others to test drive as well - obviously not! showing you that they are not confident in their own products (many Audi salesmen know that they are trying to sell inferior products) But I guess if Audi was in such a situation, they'll probably wet the track or icy roads, ask customers to test drive their top of the range quattro A4 and put a BMW 320i without xDrive for customers to compare..... just jokes - with a slight hint of truth!

I'm up north and I received an invitation with info to follow. I'm not in the market for another one, but always interested in test driving so when I here from my dealer with more details, I'm there.

Hopefully, they'll bring that program to the States. Lexus does an event like this every year in the States, but the past couple years they stopped including cars from the competition. Lexus used to include cars from BMW and Mercedes and let people drive each one on a track (S-Class, 7 series, X5, ML, 5 series, E-Class, 3 series, C-Class). The only problem is you only got to spend about 45 seconds in each car since it was a short course.
