BMW Canada offers a great opportunity for our neighbors up north. The “BMW 3 Series Comparison Drive Events” will take place in Toronto, Montreal and beautiful Vancouver.

The events will start in April in Vancouver, followed by Montreal and Toronto in June.

BMW Canada: Come test drive 8 cars in 120 minutes

As you might have guessed, you will have the opportunity to drive BMW 3 Series vehicles, including the newly released 335d, but….that’s not all…..BMW Canada goes further by giving a chance to drive the “competition” as well: Audi A4, Lexus IS and of course, Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

If you’re still doubting which luxury car to buy and debating between these great vehicles, this is your one time opportunity to drive them back to back, and maybe by the time you leave, you will decide on your next purchase.

A little risky for BMW? Sure, but they seem pretty confident if they offer these type of comparison event.

The event is free and all you need to do is to sign up here.

Hopefully, they’ll bring that program to the States. Lexus does an event like this every year in the States, but the past couple years they stopped including cars from the competition. Lexus used to include cars from BMW and Mercedes and let people drive each one on a track (S-Class, 7 series, X5, ML, 5 series, E-Class, 3 series, C-Class). The only problem is you only got to spend about 45 seconds in each car since it was a short course.

I’m up north and I received an invitation with info to follow. I’m not in the market for another one, but always interested in test driving so when I here from my dealer with more details, I’m there.

I don’t think BMW is risking a lot putting other rivals there. To me, it just shows that BMW is confident in their own products and want customers to see their superiority – which is a very good thing… and indeed they have the best offering. Can you imagine Audi having an event like this putting BMWs there for others to test drive as well – obviously not! showing you that they are not confident in their own products (many Audi salesmen know that they are trying to sell inferior products) But I guess if Audi was in such a situation, they’ll probably wet the track or icy roads, ask customers to test drive their top of the range quattro A4 and put a BMW 320i without xDrive for customers to compare….. just jokes – with a slight hint of truth!
