With all the price increases we have been hearing about lately, it’s nice to see that other BMW models are getting free upgrades and even price reductions for some of the packages. BMW North America just announced that the 2010 BMW 5 Series (the current body style) will include a value Package (ZVP) at no additional cost.
For the six cylinder models, the Value Package includes leather and iPod adapter. If you’re buying the xDrive version, the ZVP gives you all the options from the Cold Weather Package: heated steering wheel, heated front seats, headlight washers.
On top of this, the Premium Package for all the models in the 5 Series family will receive a reduction in price of $1,450, making the 5er even a better buy these days, especially with the low interest rates published this month.
Obviously BMW is looking to sell as many 5 Series as possible before the new model will be launched next year.
Thanks for the info Randy!

So the 550i already comes with all this stuff I guess ?
yay?
Seriously it could be a successful way of clawing back some sales from the new Jaguar XF and the Mercedes-Benz W212 until the new F1o comes out.
@BMW fan:
How sucessful is the XF ? Jaguar have not released figures and may never because Tata Group who own Jag are private companies.
