BMW has a number of self-driving car technologies, this looks to be a demo of one application. It's probably not cheap or reliable enough at the moment. BMW does seem to be at the forefront for that end goal though.

Random vision of the future: parking garages/lots which take control of car's self-driving systems to park and retrieve. These could be very controlled environments, as opposed to parallel parking in traffic.

Are these technology currently in any production BMWs? I find it strange that if BMW developed them, why is it featuring in the Audi A3 and Merc A Class at the moment, yet I see nothing from BMW??? did Merc and Audi copy from BMW? and why has BMW not patented this technology?
