And yet another rendering of the 2011 BMW 5 Series

As we have said before, once the leaked photo of the new BMW 5 Series made its way onto the web, many car magazines or online media will come up with their own set of renderings.

Just a couple of weeks back, we saw Andy Valencia taking a shot at what the new 2011 BMW 5 Series might look like, followed a few days laterk by the fellows at Car Magazine UK.

Today, I received an email from our long time friend Jon Sibal, who helped us in the  past with some renderings of the new BMW Z4. Jon sent me his latest 2011 BMW 5 Series computer generated image, an interpretation based on all the leaked photos, bumpers and information that we acquired so far.

When we compare this image with the first 2011 BMW 5 Series renderings, we realize the long way we’ve come since then.

As a refresher, the next generation 5 Series will be launched next year, it will offer a large selection of engines and many technological improvements, some imported from the new 7 Series: HUD or Adaptive Driving.

now that is a good rendering

  • Gord

    Nice rendering.

  • BMW fan

That is a good rendering although the grille and lights don’t go well together and the mirrors are massive.

  • housejunkie85

awesome rendering…hope it looks like this with some thinner mirrors!!!

  • Rich

    Best one yet… looks mean

  • Doug

@housejunkie85: I think europe required the side mirrors be bigger, after the wild success they had with higher bumpers. So, statesfolks will also benefit from these features – you’re welcome.

I’m sure it cuts down on the blind spot for lane changing. It should help parallel parking immensely, too.

@Doug : yeah ur pbably right but i do think they could make them look somehow cooler

  • brandon

seems a bit too drastic for a refresh? still hot tho…

  • Nizer

Nice. But the real one will be taller and narrower, unfortunately.

@Nizer: I don’t think it will sit taller at all. Narrower? Maybe a bit, but we’re talking about 1-2 inch.
