Alpina is making a great impression at the Geneva Motor Show by bringing out some amazing new cars. We have just seen the new Alpina B7, a beauty on four wheels which takes the BMW 7 Series to a new level.
As we announced last month, Alpina’s latest B6 version, named GT3, is making its official debut in Geneva as well. Alpina B6 GT3 is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 with radial compressor, taken from the BMW ALPINA B6 S which delivers 530 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. It uses a 6-speed sequential gearbox and only weighs 2,976 lbs. op speed? 177 mph and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds.
ALPINA will field two race cars in the FIA GT3 European Championship, and negotiations with interesting auto-racing personalities intended to fill the four race seats are on-going. Race cars are planned for customer race teams, and will compete in the FIA GT3 European Championship, as well as in national GT3 races in Belgium, Brazil, Germany, England, France and Italy.

Right.. what I’m REAAALLY hoping for is for Duller Motorsport to buy one of these puppies, paint it up like their Red Bull Z4 Racer, enter it into the Silverstone 24 hour race in september and win! That way I can get REAL close!
How on earth can something as elegant as the 6 series end up like that?
Wow good looking race car.
