The MB has broken its own rules.Just look at the back lights.
In other mercedeses(every model of Mercedes) the back lights are like a triangle but the new E-class doesn’t have this.

The E is actually a very decent car, but the LED worm at the bottom looks stupid. Based on the picture of the 5, which I think looks terribly ugly with that flat grille and wide straight airdam at the bottom,it won’t beat the Merc on design. Sorry but I don’t like th looks of the 5 in that picture, I’d rather stick with the current one. Actually the current one looks better than the new E

Of course this voting is not absolutely objective, because there are many BMW fans on this blog. But in my opinion new fifth model looks great, slightly better then E class and much more better then previous generation of BMW 5

Surely the upcoming 5 series will have the V8 TT ?

I like the current 5 series more than the E Class (design wise). I suspect the same goes for the next gen. I only concern is that the taillights will be too similar to he new 7er which to me is rather boring. I hope it does have some unique head/taillights and other unique desing elements.

I think the new 5 looks great, but I will reserver judgement until I will see the production model.

As far as MB, I dislike the headlights…
