The BMW X6 M seems to pop-up all over the country these days. Beside the usual spy shots at the Spartanburg Plant in SC, we saw the X6 M in New York early this week, around Munich and today, we have some new photos from California and…..Wisconsin…yes, a fleet of X5 M and X6 M was spotted there as well.
The BMW X6 M is powered by a V8 M Turbo Engine with twin scroll turbo chargers, an enhanced engine, far more powerful than the stock one found in the xDrive50i. Outputting anywhere between 530 to 580 hp, the X6 M will become a true competitor for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG.
As far as handling and dynamics, BMW will enhance the AWD system to reflect M performance, by offering a more rear-concentrated approach. The Dynamic Performance Control is integrated with the X6, so the motor will vary the torque from the right to the left therefore increasing performance.
Of course, expect all the M little elements to be present in the interior design along with the usual M side vents and aggressive front-fascia.
I would like to thank Paul at RockStorePhotos for the great shots on Mulholland Highway and Steve L. for the Wisconsin photos.
