No, this is not an article about any body parts, but rather about showing you the rear-end of some popular BMW vehicles. We all know the famous saying “Bangle-butt”, but this is not about that as well.
All I’m trying to find out, through a poll, which car do you think it has the best, most appealing and well throught rear-end design? Which one has the sexiest booty?
The choice is between: BMW 5 Series Wagon, new BMW 7 Series, 6 Series, 5 Series, 5 Series GT, X5, 3 Series Sedan and Coupe, 1 Series Coupe, 1 Series Hatchback, new Z4, X6, X3 and X1.

Thanks for the photos and idea EnI!

designed by
5 series GT, though some other ones come really close.
They all look great
The lowest and widest (Z4 and 6-series) have a sexier proportion to them.
2 surprises to me- the new 5-series GT looks great from the rear….the articulation of surfaces is done very nicely- a lot of interesting details – but when it’s turned to a rear 3/4 view it falls apart visually.
And even tho the 3-series coupe is in 1st place when I voted- to me it’s beginning to look bland and generic. Other folks obviously disagree- but to me the design is more competent than dynamic. For an example, if the exhaust pipes were placed further to the sides it would increase the perception of width and visually the car would seem to be sitting lower. Maybe the chassis setup prohibited that- but it still is a missed opportunity to reinforce the coupe’s presence. Compare this to the way it’s handled on the X6, Z4, 5-series GT, and 6-series.
My vote went to BMW Z4 and the new 5 Series GT being second.
Hard to beat the 335i coupe. Conveys power without being loud.
My favorite used to be the E60 5-Series Sedan but now it goes to the E90 3-Series Sedan and the new Z4
What about the ///M cars?
The 6 Series, to me, is the most cohesive. The lines and angles match, little things are placed symmetrically, etc. It’s pleasing to the eyes. Of course you can also say that it’s boring… that’s the other side of the coin…
I think that the 6 series must take the first place, the 3 series coupe as secound and the new Z4 as third.
The 6 series are one of the most best looking car I ever saw.
The rear end of the 5 Series Gt looks surprisingly good compared to other BMWs.
Z4 looks great on this picture, but on real life photos rear wasn’t that nice… My vote goes to 3 Coupe, but must be with M package – this is the best looking coupe.
I think it will be a tough fight between the 3 series Coupe and the X6/5 GT.
The X6 and 5 series GT are technically the same design pattern with different interpretation.
I voted for the X6.
I’d submit that this gen 7er has the best Bimmer rear.

So, 3 series coupe seems to take the win here……
i love all of my girls, but lets say bmw 1 coupe…
All of the above…
Z3 M coupe
@mpower: Can’t do that
So, let’s hear it
3-series coupe is definitely the most conservative.
