Would you dig it?
The above rendering is based on the recently launched BMW 5 Series GT Concept and the leaked image of a front bumper from the next generation 5 Series.
We mentioned before that the next-generation BMW 5-series will soften the harder lines of the current E60 with a cleaner front-end design and where the bonnet meets the lenses in an angular shape. Most of the design decisions will be based on the European safety regulations, one of them being larger side mirrors.
While the rendering is pretty good, I anticipate the new 5 Series to have a slightly larger front-grille, typical now in the new BMW designs.
With the new 5er GT just released, we should see more renderings in the next few weeks, especially from Huckfeldt who now has more elements to work with.

The front looks great. but i hope the back is original and doesn’t look like the 7 or even the gt coupe (not much of a fan of the lines in the coupe)
I like it a lot actually. Much better than the E60 and seems to have a more cohesive design too.

Looks clean and mainstream. It could just be what the doctor asked for to win back E39 fans who didn’t go for the E60. I find the E60 slightly more distinct though however both look sharp.
It looks nice but it is not very agressive.
i like it, it think it looks way more agressive than e60. I agree with Horatiu that the grille will be probably be larger…
I still can’t get used to these new large grills i think i they look a bit disproportioned to the car…Anybody gets the same feeling?
I really like the E60. This seems, well… ok. Many people are using the word “clean”, and them I think: boring. We`ll see..
