Yes, we know, the official photos are out, but in the same time, new 5 Series GT test mules are out and about. This time, they moved away from the heavy plastic-type camouflage into the final evaluation phases.
If you recall, in FEP, BMW engineers test the car before it enters pre-production. Only some minor modifications and fine-settings can be done, also, the production process can still be modified a bit. When all corrected the car is ready to enter phase 3.
The felows at Autoexpress UK, got their hands on some spy photos of the 5er GT and from what I can see the vehicle is almost identical to the newly released 5 Series GT Concept.
The camouflage is fairly reduced, slightly covering the lights, the creases on the hood and the trunk lid. But hey….nothing to hide anymore, we expect the production version to be almost identical and sporting some nicer colors.

It looks to me as if the frameles doors made it through onto the production version -I’m very glad about that.
Saw the 5GT today still in mule disguise. This one was on the highway to Dingolfing, and at the back had the fake extended back and 4 exhausts, 2 each side.
Any ideas what this was?
