BMW X3 has finished first in the ADAC quality ranking for the second time in a row. Back in 2007, the X3 SAV was awarded the renowned ADAC “Gelber Engel” prize in the “Quality” category. What it basically means is that the BMW X3 is the most reliable car that can be found on the roads in Germany.
The “Gelber Engel” award is based on an evaluation of some 2 million cases drawn from ADAC breakdown statistics as well as a customer satisfaction study by the club magazine “ADAC motorwelt” in which around 43,000 readers participated this time.
The most popular BMW X3 model in Germany is the xDrive20d, powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine with all-aluminum crankcase and common rail direct injection. It outputs 177 hp and takes full advantage of BMW’s EfficientDynamics technology, therefore, offering an impressive 37 MPG driving range.
According to BMW, in November 2008, there were around 500,000 X3s sold worldwide.
A great recognition for BMW and something to be proud of.

This is old news.
It might be old news (what; 2 weeks?) but I’m sure there’s still a rosy glow in Spartanburg where it’s made.
Get your facts correct, the current generation X3 is built by Magna Steyr, in Graz, Austria.

nice one. Although I am not a fan of the exterior nor interior design, it just shows that BMWs are solidly made
@Brookside:

awwwwwww. yeah right. My X3 has seen the dealer 9 times in 2.5 years.
I have had nothing but a great time with my X3. I hear some criticism about it, but after having one for 3 years I can’t see having anything else as an SUV.
I give it a thumbs up.
I have an 04 X3, been in the shop once, for a small problem.
Yeah, you’re right…got it mixed up with the X5.
This is no surprise, BMW is like naturally superior to anything out there, especially the Lexus. No matter what BMW will like always be ahead of Lexus in everything they do…it’s because they’re fabulous…
