For all practical purposes, right now, the movement of money is at a standstill for big-ticket items. The economy is in limbo. It is a scary moment and no one seems to be able to tackle the problem- let alone the politicians who either want to play games with hope/fear or put a big smiley face on the thing and call it solved. Sobering figures, but it looks like late-Winter /early-spring will be worse than even these disappointing stats.
