Alpina B6 GT3 unveiled

Ahead of the Geneva Auto Show, Alpina decided to unveil their latest B6 GT3 model. Based on the BMW 6 Series Coupe, Alpina returns to FIA GT3 European Championships. with their GT3 race car.

Delivering 530 hp and 720 Nm of torque from a supercharged 4.4 liter V8 engine, the Alpina B6 GT3 will be offered to both individual customers and race teams. It uses a 6-speed sequential gearbox and only weighs 2,976 lbs.

Top speed? 177 mph and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds.

Geneva Auto Show seems to be quite interesting this year and especially, very important for BMW. From what I was told, a couple of concepts will be unveiled there. Oh, did I mention that next week we will finally see the BMW Progressive Activity Sedan?

This thing weighs like 200lbs less than a Z4 M Coupe – seems awfully heavy for a racecar?

Same top speed as my 645ci.

Comparing it to the Audi R8 LMS GT3 and the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, it is the heaviest:
1350kg vs. 1250kg vs. 1225kg

It is also the most powerful:
390 kW vs. 372 kW vs. 361 kW

And it also has mountains of torque:
725 Nm vs. 500 Nm vs. 435 Nm

That much torque is going to launch it up Eau Rouge like a missle!!

It does have a face only a mother could love but, it’s a 6 series, it’s an Alpina, and it’s a Race Car…. technically it’s my dream car! So, I love it, rancid livery and all!!
