For those of you that might not know, Alpina is a stand alone car manufacturer in close co-operation with BMW, therefore an Alpina can be bought and serviced at local BMW dealerships, and covered if there is a warranty issue.
We recently saw their D3 version, based on the BMW 3 Series Coupe and last year we had the opportunity to see another three Alpina versions at the Frankfurt Auto Show: B3 Biturbo, B5 S and B6 S, corresponding to the 3, 5 and 6 BMW series.
Today, we have just learned that Alpina will showcase their latest B6 GT3 model at the Geneva Auto Show in March. Based on the BMW 6 Series Coupe, Alpina returns to Motorsport with their GT3 race car, a 4.4. litre V8 engine delivering 530 hp.
According to Alpina, the car will be offered to both individual customers and race teams.
Excited about the B6, but I’m really looking forward to the new B7.

Bmw should have made a race version of the 6series to compete agains the kinds of the 911etc.
Really disappointed they never did that..Now its too late even if the wanted to..The new 6 comes in 2 years.
