BMW North America has released yesterday a new bulletin to the dealerships announcing the MY2010 5 and 6 Series. As we mentioned a few months back, the 5 Series will finally receive the new Car Infotainment Computer, the iDrive with the new controller and hard drive based navigation system.
The cars ordered without the navigation system, will still have the old iDrive.
Also, the new M Sport Package is available for order.
I’m glad this has been announced and all the iDrive/No iDrive rumors and speculations can stop now.
Thanks for the information Randy!

An earlier article stated that there is a new redesigned 5 Series coming out for 2010, its stated it will be release in May 2010, is that suppose to be a 2011 model. Since this one will have no exterior changes?
As I said earlier. I really hope they allow a retrofit to the new Idrive.
@Joe: I don’t think they will Joe! They haven’t done that in the past
