Carscoop gets the scoop today: Alpina B7 based on the new generation BMW 7 Series will make its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March.
Furthermore, they learned that the Alpina B7 will use a modified, tuned up version of the popular V8 4.4 liter engine, that debuted in the X6.
The tuned up V8 will produce 507 hp compared to the 400 hp found in the standard version of the engine. Also, the new Alpina B7 delivers 7 hp more than the previous B7 which uses a supercharged V8 4.4 liter engine.
No other information are revealed at this time, but the Geneva Auto Show is starting to look even more interesting now. We already know that BMW will showcase the Progressive Activity Sedan there along with an all electric BMW vehicle.

The drawing looks fantastic. Shame you have to slap a registration plate on the front. Who needs a M7?
The last B7 was supercharged, dude.
@Erik: Dude, you’re correct
So used to typing naturally aspirated, I still love those engines. Bring them back in the M3, BMW!
@Horatiu B.: isn’t the current M3 Naturally Aspirated ??
@adood84: yes, but the next M3/M5 will not have them.
Whoa ! those Alpina wheels (rims) looks at bit small. Otherwise very nice, but not sure about those quad exhauts.
@Gord: I have no doubt that the final version will have larger wheels.
The Alpina B7 is an amazing car and I have only heard great things about it.it’s wheels looks
litle bit tiny, otherwise it has some unique quality like Alpina B7 delivers
7 hp more than the previous B7
Love it. Im sure the car will have larger wheels though. I wounder what the price would be…The new 7 has raised in price so i guess the B7 will too.
How much more is it currently over the previouse gen 50i?
the previous one had 500hp. we need 550 or more.
Amazing Bumpers.
