@Marc: They are very close to each other and the TT came a long WAY from the first model. The 123d is an amazing car and I have only heard great things about it. BMW would be foolish not to offer it here in the States, to create a nice of 1 Series enthusiasts that don't have to pay an arm and a leg for the 135i.

I had my money on the TT in the rain too…but with it that close, I’d say tires could have created that difference

@Marc: True, the difference wasn't huge, but on a narrow wet track I wouldn't have bet against the Quattro. In the dry I'd have expected the BM to win, but not in the wet.

It was only 1/2 sec. difference. That is not enough to tell the tale given road conditions, concentration of driver, and type of tires. So that goes to say that the cars are probably closer to even than one being better than the other…

Why? You are premium, you don’t need diesel

BMW 123d is a very nice little car, but is not cheap!
Properly configured it can cost more than a medium 5 series.

Well Matski, at first I was gonna say “but 123d hase more power”, then I saw this

BMW 123d 0.0007 Kg/CV
Audio tt tdi 0.0008 Kg/CV

So the difference is reeeeeally little.

Good job bmw, on the dry track the distance should even be wider!
