The next generation BMW 6 Series due to be unveiled in 2010, has been captured on camera by the fellows at MotorAuthority. The F13 6 Series was spotted just last month in Munich by the spy photographers and it is similar to the test mule in the video below.
There are a few things we know about the F13 at this moment: BMW will not be drastically changing the current successful design, the headlights will be similar to the ones on the CS Concept, but will not have the circular cut out, just a straight across slit.
Longer than today’s model, the 2010 6-Series will offer more legroom for rear passengers. At the same time, it will get a sportier cockpit with a more driver oriented console layout.
We also learned that the convertible will be offered with a folding hardtop, like the new 3-Series convertible.
The rumor going around is that there will be three engine options, 306, 408, and 507 horsepower and of course the new eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle-shifters.
I’m expecting by the end of this year to see more and clearer shots of the new 6 Series and more information on the engine line-up.

306 hp = N54 twin turbo = 635CSi?? oh wait, BMW doesn’t use CS anymore. FTL.
also, 507hp = ///M6? V10? I thought the V10 was done?
I like the front, but I really wish the back was lower/not so fat. It would make a huge difference for this car IMO…maybe the coupe will address that? or is this really that close to the final version…
@patricksixer: 507 hp could be achieved from a twin turbo engine as well. See the V12 twin turbo coming to the 760Li
