When you compare VW's NA single digit sales drop last year to BMW's 20+% decline it has to point to, among other reasons, the increase in small car sales in the US. If they can keep the price points on target and still make a great BMW...this is the segment I'd go if I were part of market planning. And it's great to hear that the Z2 is a go. I remember when the 1-series was announced a lot of chatter on the web dissed the small BMW as a market compromise and that it would water down the BMW brand. Sure hasn't turned out that way.
