Not bad. Better then the upcoming E-class though. The leaked photos of the official E-class is nothing special. Same shape just updated front lights-(squareish and ugly back lights) I rekon if BMW does a good job on the 5-series it will be the best in its class. Hopfully the interiour will be better then the current one, it feels cheap compared to the E-class. my dad had the current E-class and it was a great car, much better then the current 5. but i think the tables have turned. M-B have had such good sales on their E, why bother changing it…. tisk tisk

What exactly are these european pedestrian safety standards?

As far as I can tell, it’s just a higher bumper. If it gets any highter, cars will be able to gulp them whole.

How come you always refer to this as the 2010 5 Series? Isn’t this likely to be the 2011 MY? I understand the 2010 E60 is coming out sometime in March 2009.
