hmmmmm, not really my taste. I like, no love the front and the back is…..ok but i dont dig the side veiw. Never the less, well done Giom, i hope BMW do end up making a car with front headlights and a grill as shown above.

It’s interesting the way the centerline crease inverts at the rear lamps, and follows through around the hatch as an indentation. I haven’t seen an element like that before. (Random observation)

It is really nice, especially the back and side. The front seems to a bit high, which actually looks nice.

BTW, I don’t know why BMW comes with these ugly black parts (lower parts of bumper and door handles) in the pre-facelifts. These elements just make the car look so un-attractive. If there are enough of these running around, it is enough to make people dislike the 1 Series. With those black parts on the car, there’s a lack of premium feel to it (116i, 118i) and the 1 Series is suppose to be in the premium market.

It’s a good direction towards the next M3, I think, but it would take many weeks to complete such a project and soon time will be limited again.

Havn’t I seen some Photoshop jobs on the next M3 using CS eliments? Horatiu? Worth a look.

Hey Giom, would you be bale to take the CS concept, make it a bit smaller, with a bit shorter front, 2 doors, and a less slanetd back.
I’m thinkin how the next gen M3 would look like if it’s based on the CS concept design.

a great rendering Giom.
The rear and side view are very strong and compelling.
I also agree that the front should re-emphasize carry-over design cues from the CS and Z4 (E89)…the headlights particularly I think will be larger than you’ve drawn them much in the same way Ms. Blasi’s design expanded the overall shape of the headlight cluster from the original E85.

When is it coming out anyway? 2011?

If all goes well I should be out of college by then and started working (and saving up for a 1-er). Though I bet Mr Murphy will want to have a say in that.
