Moving a little bit away from the LA Auto Show coverage and getting back to our usual spy photos or videos in this case. Today, directly from the BMW factory in Spartanburg, SC, thanks to our dear friends Palbay, we have a new video of the BMW X6 Hybrid.
The video is a bit more interesting that the previous ones since you can hear the X6 transition to gas power as it heads back towards the factory. According to Palbay, the exhaust note seems to be toned down in the BMW X6 Hybrid, despite being powered by the impressive V8 Twin-Turbo.
To quote Palbay, “the X6 Hybrid does not seem to have the booming NASCAR roar like the xDrive50i”, so it is quite interesting finding out more about the technology behind the X6 ActiveHybrid.
The BMW X6 Hybrid is due to launch late 2009.
