The 2009 BMW 7 Series pricing for the UK market has just been released. Since we are about a month away from the official release of the U.S pricing, I thought we should go ahead and speculate a bit. So, let’s focus on the higher-end model, the BMW 750i and 750Li.
The base price in the UK for the BMW 750i was set at £66,450 or $99,540 at the current rate. The existing 750i sells in the U.S for $76,800, so around 22k less. Now, taking in consideration the usual higher BMW prices in Europe, my estimate says the base price for the 2009 BMW 750i will be anywhere between $86,000-$88,000, or roughly 16%-17%. That’s a significant increase over the current prices and sufficient in justifying the costs associated with a new model.
Now, let’s take a look at the BMW 750Li, which sells in the UK for £69,400 or $104,000. The 2008 750Li is listed in the States at $79,900. My guess is the base price will fall between $89,000-$91,000.
