Our friends at Autoblog.nl put together a review of the BMW 125i Coupe equipped with Performance Parts. As you know, the 125i Coupe is not available for the U.S market and it’s the entry level in Europe for the petrol engines in the 1 Series coupe line-up.
The BMW 125i Coupe is powered by a 3.0 liter straight-six engine, naturally aspirated which outputs 218 horsepower, not nearly as powerful as the engine in the 135i Coupe, but still power enough to go from 0-60 in 6.5 seconds.
The car in this video comes with all the goodies from the BMW Performance Parts offers:
- shorter gear stick
- steering wheel with LED style shift indicators built into it
- aluminum pedals
- carbon fiber trim
- Alcantara bucket seats
- 18″ wheels
- lower, stiffer suspension
- new intake and exhaust for a few more horsepower
- Performance brakes
And as an informative note, the price for all these options came down to 17,000 Euros, somewhere around $21,500.
Without further ado, here is the video, I hope you’ll enjoy it since I managed to embeded in a higher quality also.
Thanks for the video Vincent!

Sounds amazing! but before I spend the money on the bmw performance parts, I would buy a 135 for sure. Im sure a bunch would agree with me on that. I agree with the shifter, it looks horrible, everything else is amazing though.
better quality here guys!

To me that is like some guy with a rice rocket, sprucing up his ride, even though it is underpowered.
I say you’d need at least a 135 or 335 to add these performance parts, or else you’d be looking like a ricer.
what language is that?
its Dutch
So… are they going to continue to have the 125/130/135 in europe and the 128/135 in the US? The 325 seems to be the most common BMW in the US by far, I’d think that Europe’s model would work much better in the US, especially if they can get the direct-injected x30 engine emissions-compliant, and use the 325hp x35.
I like it! The seats are nice and I’d lose the pin stripe but otherwise I like how understated it is.
@Gragop:
I kind of dig the pin stripe…
If you bog yourself down with “Well, rather than spend the money on aftermarket parts, I’d just buy ____________” you’ll never end.
“My wagon is a little slow. Instead of the engine swap I’m planning, maybe I should just sell it for an M3. You know, the M3 is kinda slow as well; I’ll just have to trade it in on an M6 instead of tweaking it a bit. Well, instead of supercharging my M6 I’ll just get an F430. Instead of a cat-back on the F430, maybe I should just get a Murcielago. You know, tossing money into aftermarket stuff for the Murci is going to be a waste of $, so I’ll just get a Zonda instead. Hmmm, I don’t care for the Zonda seats or exhaust tone; perhaps I should buy a Caparo T1 instead of messing with it.”
With that said, I’d definitely have to get the 135 instead. TT inline 6 = WIN.
Oh, I completely forgot…
That steering wheel is AWESOME.
That is all.
You can never go wrong with upgraded brakes. Do they have any for the E90?
Lol critical weight saving parts like carbon fiber trim and aluminum petals.
