It’s also a bit disturbing that any company would regard this bailout trend in terms of “we want to avoid competitive disadvantages”.

Just hope that BMW will not be affected too much. Maybe they should reconsider the dominance of their Finacial Services division. Should they not have hedged against positions like these??? I mean, haveing ups and donwns in the motor industry is not a new thing. So perhaps they didn;t plan properly.
